Puerto Varas - city tour

Next day when we woke up J didn't feel too well. It was cloudy and rainy so we decided to take a chill day in the city. In between the rain we managed to walk up a hill for a city view.

Chocolate factory, typical gift to get from here

Afterwards we had fika with a German cake very popular in this area, Kuchen. I had a white chocolate strawberry kuchen and for once really appreciated a dessert (besides ice cream) over here.

In the afternoon we took a walk along the lake, the sun started coming through the clouds and after 2 pm it was not a cloud in the sky. We passed by a weird museum that you'll see below, so many different things crammed into a house. The sun appeared in the late afternoon and people swam in the lake. Dipping my hands in the water I must say I wouldn't be a stranger to swim this kind of day either. J on the other hand was of an other opinion.

After this chill day with still beautiful surroundings we searched for a restaurant and ended up in a small place where we tried Pichanga. Another variant of chorillana one could say. Although we appreciated this one more. A giant plate for 2, stuffed with sausage, meat, potatoes and other things. Quite okay but definitely not a lean alternative.

I'll think we'll keep it short today before heading to new sightseeings tomorrow.

Hasta luego,
