Foz do Iguaçu
Óla!
So we arrived in the evening to Foz do Iguaçu and thankfully transportation to the hotel was included. Although it would have been easier to have the transportation included in the early morning when leaving.. We did after all live right around the corner of the main station.
This city reminded me a bit of the states with restaurants right by the road. Easy access. When arriving we asked about safe areas and apparently we had an area about 3 blocks away to our left to avoid, otherwise safe and sound. Although I must admit we didn't really feel like walking down the whole avenue after dark. We tried reaching the street with the big restaurants we've seen during transport but gave up after a few minutes walking. We learned later it was quite a walk to get there. So we had some seats just outside our hotel in a street restaurant. Shared a meal of 57 reals including one big water and a beer. Quite okay although we realised our exchange rate was quite the rip of when compared to online rates. Dinner was good meat although nothing special. So far we haven't found anything special when it comes to food but we keep looking :-)
We took an early night since we were getting up early to do the public transport to the Brazilian side of the falls. And none of us felt like partying in the area anyways ;-) See parents? Staying safe.
